While sometimes I think it'd be nice to have my gf into cars, I realize in the long run, it is probably not the best thing. I need to have my own separate life and hobby.

Ive been on this forum for 6 years now... and I still dont get what the fasination is. A chick driving a FD. What is the big deal? I think that a lot of guys think it would be so cool... but really, it can become a dating hassle. Especially if you and your significant other have FDs. I speak from experience.

PS. I bought the car when I was a teenager, and have yet to crash into anything.

when I was 17, I raced at infineon raceway with my Integra and I was not exactly the worst driver on the track. I knew allot of people around 16-20 years old that were up in the better brackets than most other racers. I beat out most 'experienced' drivers that were in thier 30's. granted, an Integra is not in the same class as an RX-7, but you can still be a 'good' driver, on the track or off the track at a young age. It takes allot of skill, and in my case, allot of luck and a light *** car. Usually younger people tend to be 'fearless' on the track, so they will go that extra 10mph around a corner, which can win a race.

look at Marco Andretti, he is only 19 and he won the Indy Car open-wheel racing at Infineon Raceway. He was the 2006 Bombardier Rookie of the Year, beating out everybody else.

Does anyone remember RX7ofmine on the board? There were some bad attacks on her cause some guys felt like she looked a little manly and she was supposed to be a model. Guys asked her to post pics just to rip her.

Stop dryhumping the idea of a girl that likes the same car as you. If you guys were to post all the pics of yourself I can guarantee you that most of you wouldn't have a shot with any half decent girls, so who cares if they are supermodels or supermamas.

Finally, about the old man driving theorem. I think that young people can be great drivers, just as middle aged guys can be shitty drivers.

Experience and talent is important. Some kids have been driving karts since they are 7-8 and now at 20-23 you don't think they are better drivers>? How many older guys do I see buring redlights, doing illegal passes, cellphone talking at least as much as I see young people doing it. Damned SUV's you'll never see a kid driving one of those.

Women + fast cars = Great time..... Take 2 good things and put them together. It seems reasonable. It's logical, but is it practical. I don't know. This is what happened when a woman drove my car.

Let's just say the she missed the telephone poles and found the ditch instead. As of right now, there's not any suspension damage, that I can see.

 

^^Hey, it looks like your lucky... a replacement lip is pretty cheap if your car went in a ditch & all it needs is a new lip

 

Believe it or not my FD was owned by a 57 year old lady (she was 49 when she bought it new in 93).

well, to the thread starter, if you read Every Post Thus far, They've answered your question why women don't post. Hence, Miss Kris (Pure Rotary?) Makes a Comment, and Show her WEbpage of her and her car, and what happens? next few PAGES, not 1 or 2 posts, but Over a Page Total of Harrasment, "i'd like to see you bend over my car", or "Your 17 so you can't drive" etc. and instead of saying Congrats, Welcome to the forum, etc, just dog and leg hump they hell outta her. Now imagine if there we're more woman, how many threads would there be you think of, woman post pix on your car!. It's my .02 of what i've just read in 20 min from post #1.

I'm happy to see a woman join the club and learn to do things herself, go to the track, and enjoy's her hobby even though others will dog ya. Congrats and good luck with the build up. Mine finishin up really soon. since your in victoria, join up on houstonrx7club.com and come to the meets. If i'm correct there's 2 other ladies there that own rx7's as well.

Also I've seen a woman driving a V.R. 3rd Gen in Katy area, so add that to the ladies list.
