Hi everybody. It's the carbon fiber sunroof pimp here to let you know there's a GB going on to replace your heavy glass or metal panel with lightweight, vacuum infused carbon replica (double-bubble and all):

Mine was purchased from the previous owner right from mazda. Its not something I would spend money on due to the sun beating on my forehead, but it does brighten up the interior nice. I don't want to tint it dark though, if I did that I might as well put a metal one back in.

94 touring MB w/ a glass sunroof. the sunroof has these little black dots on it. I was going to tint the sunroof but decided against it since it already had those.

I have to admit... In the summer down here in Miami - I *rarely* take the cover off my Glass sunroof. Open it, yes, but as a rule of thumb - the cover stays on.

I do love it with it off - but a Northerner in the heat just can't take it.

I also have the glass sunroof with the plastic cover that snaps in... it is intact... mine is a 94.

during summer in Miami the plastic insert remains on during the day.. maybe if I drive at nite i will take it off... Just like the 350Z stays with the top up during the day and goes down at nite...

I know.. I'm robbing you're great grandma's grave here, but I was being a good boy/utilizing the search feature & this is where I landed! Personally I want a glass roof as well, (once I've got the FD to mount it to ). If I one was to have problems finding them used, couldn't any decent autobody garage probably order them.. If I can't locate one in a junkyard listing, or here, that's my plan of action - Glass is where it's at!!

Panhandle on the forum, and hope that someone wants to sell theirs. It seems like a fairly rare item, and with the curves in the glass it is not a part that you can just find at any supplier.

Good luck.

I got the cover for my glass sunroof on the forum. The guy was selling both the glass sunroof and the cover together. I had to make him an offer that he couldn't refuse to get the cover. Once I got it, I found it made a big difference in the summer. I was thinking of trying some sunshade material to put on the top to see if it helps even more. I love my glass sunroof.
On another note, I need to fix my retainers. The rivets broke and I almost lost my cover and the retainers on the interstate. So to those that have one, check your rivets on the retainers.
