There seem to be many that tend to get sticky (like mine). You may need to press the button with one hand and then gently press up on the back of the sunroof with the other. Some grease lubed the rails well and now it works fine.

Only the Touring models had glass moon roofs.

theres always a few anomalies due to previous owners changing stuff around or cars coming with stuff they shouldn't. as a general rule yes, the glass only came on the touring 94
for 95 im not sure about moonroof details since touring was not offered. are tehre 95's with moonroofs? i dont know

thats correct. only the Touring submodel came with glass. the PEP came with all the Touring options but had a body colored metal sunroof instead. hence the reason you wont find a 95 with glass since the touring was discontinued mid 94. unless someone swapped it out like I did (its not hard just long and boring)
yes, 95 PEP models did come with SUNroofs,(moonroofs slide under the roofline, not over it) but they were body colored metal, as all PEPs were.
you had 2 94 Tourings if they had glass, PEP did not come with glass.
then it was a PEP, not a touring.

if you really want one added to your car. go to mazda buy the new sunroof buy the new interior if needed. (some cars have a slightly lower roof inside do to sunroof not sure if this effects fds)
then find a really good shop to cut your top and install the sunroof. and probably a good shop to paint match where things got dmged.
hell you see fds in japan that are full on convertables now. its about about the shop and the money

Ah, figured it out. I can't say I foresee using it much, but we'll see how hot my car gets if I have to park it outside in the summer.

photos of sunroof
Here are three photos showing the glass sunroof in a BB touring.
This first shot shows that the sunroof all but disappears on a black car because of reflection from the tinted surface.
This shot shows how the sunroof keep the double bubble line of the roof. Look closely. Please ignore the ice, salt, and snow.
Finally, this shows the sunroof from the inside. It was a very, very bright winters day. The sunroof is actually closed in this shot. outside temps were in the teens.

Bought the car near Kansas City just before Christmas and drove it home. Went south to I-40 to avoid weather, but got caught in a snowstorm out of Albuquerque. I try very hard to avoid snow in this car.

In-car shot of the sunroof. The only problem I've had with it was that the little spacers that hold the plastic insert had worn away, so it rattled when installed. I replaced them with those clear plastic (feet) you use on furniture and have had no problems. I love it.
i just bought my glass sunroof and i dont seem to have tht piece tht wraps around between the glass and the headliner any clue where i can get it?do u think mazda still carries it?
