I definately agree with you on that... it was one of the big reasons why I was looking for a '94 specifically.

And if anyone has the pics of the said cover, it would be great.

All you guys complaining about the heat transfer, just go to a tint shop and have them tint it. Yes, it is tinted from the factory, but all that really is basically is a color dye in the glass....it's not really blocking any heat for the most part.

I do it all the time in my shop for people who just had to have that sunroof on their new car, only to find it's more of a pain in the *** and they never end up using it anyway. A single layer of 5% is usually good enough, but I've gone as far as putting 2 layers of 5% on them. Makes them black as hell and you wouldn't even need the cover, especially with a double layer of the 5% film, and the heat rejection with two layers is at best guess around 80%+, so heat won't be a problem. This would allow you to not need the cover as well so you could open it on the fly whenever you wanted.

Just my 2 cents.

Hmmm I haven't notice any color dye in mine. Mine has 100's of little black dots all over it to partically block the sun rays. Kinda like a screen door mesh. Oh well I'm not complaining.

I also think it looks like poop.

Mostly because it takes away from the double bubble roof which is such a neat design aspect of the FD. It is still very noticeable with a body-color metal roof, and even more so with no sunroof

Yes, the glass has the double-bubble, but it's not as pronounced. Hit up FritzFlynn. He *might* have a good used one.

In-car shot of the sunroof. The only problem I've had with it was that the little spacers that hold the plastic insert had worn away, so it rattled when installed. I replaced them with those clear plastic (feet) you use on furniture and have had no problems. I love it.

In SC, I am the only one that I see who has a glass roof. They are a lower production item on a rare car. I love mine. Never too hot. Although I don't have the interior sheild and would like to.

Glass sunroof

I have one also. I have been thinking of switching it out to the metal one. DOes anyone know if it's an easy swap? Weight difference between the two?

I have a glass sunroof (it's nice!), and my car came with the sunroof cover pictured above. I couldn't figure out what it was for though, as it's smaller than the sunroof hole. Does anyone know how to install the cover?

you have to do it with the sunroof tilted up, there are 2 little feet that slide in at the front, then you pull the clips in push it up against the sunroof and let go, the clips should snap into place and it should stay up there i can post a pic if you need it.

I've got the glass sun roof...... How do you tilt it up? I can't seem to find a button or do you have to do it manually? I bought my car with the roof, but I've never bothered to even try to open it, but now it has me curious
