FC meets FD.. what, an FB, too?!
Just a few days ago, I had one of the best days of my life.
It started out with myself and a friend embarking early in my FC gearing up for a 5 hour drive North. My FC is beautiful. Saved it from a storage unit where it sat for over 10 years stalled at 71,000 miles. Replaced the blown motor, and she's been running great ever since. (My friend who introduced me to Rotaries has the flat black/white GTU.)

About a year and a half later, it was time to persue an FD. Silver. Manual. 1993. It was/is perfect. Just like my FC, here was a silver FD. Just like my FC, first year of this generation. Just like my FC, except with twin turbos.
My FC brought me, literally, to this FD. Less than 24,000 miles. One owner. Stock.

Now here's where the day went from amazing to one of the best days of my life. On the way back home, my friend spots an FB off the road at this airport/hangar sitting outside. He radios me that we should turn around, so of course we do. Once we pull up we realize true beauty.

If it's not obvious, we have here:
1984 GSL-SE (first year of the 13B in 1st Gens)
1986 Base (first year of the 2nd Gens)
1993 Touring (first year of the 3rd Gens)
All 13B's, silver, manuals and the first of their "kind".
The FB was in show room condition, seriously. What was more surprising is the body had 204,000 miles on her! He had to replace the motor once, due to the original overheating. He's had it since '84. All of us were in awe at this amazing site. My friend and I were privledged enough to drive his GSL-SE. It was so "new" feeling, smooth, and jaw dropping. He truly cared for his RX-7.

I still cannot believe how astonishing this trip was.

Do you happen to have this image in a higher resolution? It'd make a gnarly wallpaper.

That FD sounds like a great find. Good to know that it went from one owner who cared for it passed it on to another that will do the same. Your FC looks great. Congrats on the new purchase.
