Evac or Evap Canister?

What is that? I failed emissions testing because of it. The person could not find it anywhere on the car.

Good place to buy one? I'm hoping it's a relatively simple install.

Its called a charcoal canister on our car. I believe it is somewhere under the car under where the bins are located. Check the fSM for the location. Print it out and bring it to them next time you go.

I don't understand why the person couldn't look it up themselves.

But if it's missing where would I buy one? I can't find anywhere online that has canisters for FDs. I can only find canisters for FCs.

It is under the car on the drivers side right next to the Drivers rear tire, just in front of it actually.

Very easy to access, pm flyinfritz, I am sure he has some laying around. You could always call a mazda dealership.

I recommend Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda In Manassas, VA. Tell him you are from the club he will give you a great price

I put the car up on jackstands today and found it within 30 seconds. Unbelievable.

Now I get to wait in line AGAIN - for over an hour - to explain to the guy where the charcoal canister is.

Waste of time.
