doubtful that it would. chech valves, vaccuum lines, bad turbo control solenoid could cause boost issues. What are your symptoms?

im reading a good vac on my gage... but when i accelerate it never boost... if feels like somthin is holding it back. if i am on the accelerator for a while it feels like somthing finally gives and lets it boost... but it never gets over 5 psi... you can hear the turbos charging but its like the boost is going somewheres else... i have checked the acuators and vac. lines and everything seems ok.

The vac check valve is clogged or broken. Easy and cheap to fix

It is underneath the "vac box" not sure of it's true name. up by the manifold. You have to take the Hose off that conects your ic to your turbo to see it.
