egi blown fuse while driving.
Need a little help from you rotary gods out there. I was on my way home from work getting onto the on ramp when suddenly my car stops, figuring i killed it i tried to start her again. She turns over but at the time i noticed my PFC handheld unit isn't coming on. To which i thought "odd" and sat for a minute, tried her again and she still wouldnt power on. Started up the old phone and was told to start looking at fuses, all fuses inside cabin are good went under the hood and noticed my EGI fuse was blown, pushed in another 30A fuse and blew that one aswell. Any of you guys ever have this happen? And if so what did you do to fix the blowing of fuses and where do I start looking for a possible solution.

Grounding issue somewhere. Seen leaky injectors causing moisture in injector clips cause this as well.
By grounding I mean exposed wire grounding out blowing the fuse. If you wiggle your harness around you can probably get it to stop blowing the fuse but that doesn't mean the issue is resolved.

Get a set of wiring diagrams and a multimeter, then start isolating sections of the circuit and checking the resistance to ground. When you find the section of circuit with low resistance to ground, that's where your problem is.

The 30A EGI fuse supplies power to the EGI main relay, this supplies 12V power to everything with a B/W power wire (solenoids, etc) it also supplies 12V power to the B/Y wire on the fuel injectors.
Your engine harness was in need of replacement when your engine went in, basically you were on borrowed time. 99.9% sure that will fix your issue.

Check the alternator plug.
Over time the shielding on the wires going into the plug gets brittle and expose the wire. Because of the plug angle it makes them touch easily. Popped 3 fuses until I found it. I depinned the plug, added shrink tube to each wire and it was good to go.
This plug is on the engine harness. As Banzai mentioned, your emissions harness may also be the culprit.

you were right Chris/Elaine When i went back to trailor it with a few helpers one of my good friends noticed the green solenoid plug off of the rats nest was making contact with the solenoid rack mount. Got it home threw in a new 30A fuse and started up. Still going to do more digging around and wrap up all other connectors. Will be on the lookout for a new harness.

Well I got everything covered up as far as unused sensors but I'm still having a problem with getting the car to idle correctly. Has a problem starting, will rev to 500"ish" rpm and kill itself again. Possible I"fried" a injector? or a board inside the cabin possible?
Any help finding the idle problem would be great
