does anyone know what the part number is or where to get the efini symbol that doesn't have a painted backing?

To my knowledge only the 4 colored emblems were offered.

You could use a dremel to remove the colored backgrounds.

 

no.. knock offs have the background. mazda has them open.. is my understanding anyway..

Those still have the partial background if you look closely

 

You can see the seam of the towel through the emblem, no background. Also states in the description. That seller is the only place I've found them

 

I stand corrected. I was wrong. Here is a better pic of them up close. I was thinking the white pull tab was another sticker on the back of the plastic wrap with a part number.

Yeah, the ebay pic isn't great so not easy to see at first. I found them about a month ago and first thought it had a background as well. That mazda3 forum has great pics
