Ebrake = high idle?

I bought a JDM twin turbo motor from Japan that came out of a right hand drive. I dropped the JDM motor into my 93 USDM RX7 and it was good for the two months since I got the swap done. The only thing I never swaped over was the harness becuase it would not reach to the left side and the JDM ECU. Since I was going to replace my Factory air box with aftermarket Apexi dual filters, I might as well change over into the JDM ECU that came with the motor since this is my long weekend. I just completed both the intake upgrade and change over the ECU. Took it for a spin and the engine runs ok and I havent noticed any difference except when I pull the Ebrake the rpm imediately jumps to 3000rpm. Now I am not sure if its the intakes that I upgraded (check link below for exact apexi intake) or is it the ECU. I hooked up all the lines that are suppose to be hooked up to the intake. I should of done one thing at a time. This seems very strange. What does the Ebrake have to to do with idle?? odd.

Just swap the other ECU back in and you should be ok.

The ebrake thing is very strange.

I've swapped 95 ECUs into 93s and sometimes they work and sometimes you get a high idle which usually revs up and down but high.

I've also swapped in jspec ECUs which will sometimes do the same thing. What's odd is it doesn't always happen and I'm sure there's a good reason why they will work in some of the cars I've tried but not others I just never took the time to figure it out.

Ok just finished putting the oem ECU back in and I am going to see what happens today. I also noticed that my cars been smelling like gas lately. I looked underneath my car and theres fuel on the ground. I think there some type of recall for this? It spilled yesterday and today nothing. Wonder what it is. Its dripping in the middle of the engine bay.

that's probably leaking injectors and the gas is leaking from the LIM.

So what do I need to do? Replace the injectors? What is LIM?

LIM = Lower Intake Manifold

Use the diagnostic port to jumper the fuel and see if you can notice any leaks. I would recommend testing your fuel rails like this:

You were right, I put the ECU back today and it runs good. I am happy again. The Oem seems to give the engine more power and picks up alot quicker. The JDM ecu had slower responce.
