If he has the stock ECU, a malfunctioning OMP will throw the car into limp mode. That's an indication that you shouldn't be driving.

You can find a good used omp for $50-100 on the forum. If you MUST drive it, I would put in about 16-20 oz of premix per tank of gas.

i run 95 oct with no premix.i heard u should always use premix like protek r with every tank.is this true?still learning .thanks

No, you do not need to run premix if your OMP is working properly.
