Easy way to check for spark?

Im getting fuel, to the injectors... I guess I can't really be sure if the injectors are firing

Whats the best way to determine whether the injectors are firing, come to think of it there is a fine mist of **** coming out of the exhaust... Guessing fuel, so that is prolly not the problem.

What would be the easiest way to check for spark.... where should I go from there

get a timing light and put it on the wire. that would be the easiest... if you dont have a timing light you could pull the plug out with the wire still connected.
then ground the side of your plug on the frame and crank the engine. you will be able to see the plug sparking... Make sure you disconnect the other plugs first tho so the car dosent start, and watch out for the spark, if it gets you its gonna hurt like a bitch

easy way to check for sparks is to take out the fuel pump relay and each plug, then place 1 plug on each wire and turn over the car, if you see a nice blue spark then obviously your sparking

Second off.. Unflood the engine. if a mist is coming out of the exhuast ( Fuel smell? )

Take the plugs out, clean or replace. ( covered in fuel? )

Then take the fuel pump relay so the injectors don't spray fuel.

Turn the motor over with the plugs out for 15 seconds. you should see fuel misting out of the plug ports. Let it sit for a few mins, then turn it over aain for 15 seconds untill no more fuel comes out ( mist ).

Then let the motor sit for 30 mins.

add 1 teaspoon of ATF fluid to each rotor

With either cleaned plugs or new plugs ( reccomended after the engine is flooded )

Start the car and it should fire up. but run like **** for the first min, DONT LET IT STALL. obviously it will burn the fluid thus smoking like hell. let it idle for 5 mins or so before killing the engine.

Respond with your results

Old gas turns to varnish, and won't want to burn. I'm not sure how old the gas has to be before it doesn't burn proper, but it can't hurt to try. EJ, try to get as much fuel out of the tank as possible, and then put in 87 octane. YES, 87 octane. It burns easier than higher octane. Just don't romp on the car with that in there.

87 Octane? ok, well honestly there isn't much fuel in the tank right now anyway... its below E... I thought it would be enough to get it fired up though, and make it to the gas station down the block. lol

My car will not even think about start unless I have an 1/8 of a tank of gas in it.

Put some gas in that bitch and fire it up.......

It's probably empty.
