Oh my bad, I missed the "stock" part of his post. That run was at 12.5PSI.

What happened at about 4500rpm?
No pre-spool?
Hesitation?

Its called altitude. The car runs just file but the prespool at transition is a low. It seems to be a common problem with FD's here at high altitude (I'm at 4900ft) I have talked to many guys from around here and they seem to have the same problem. I have had the car at sea level and it had no prolems at all.

The drop at 4500 rpm is normal for a sequential setup. It's the transition point from the primary to the secondary turbo.

Dr Wankel,
Have you changed your base map w/ datalogit? If not, do you have your PFC maps(fuel, IGT,IGL) handy and can email them to me. I am curious.

Thanks,
Steve

i would like to see a STOCK dyno shhet for a 3rd gen rx-7. by STOCK i mean NO modification made to the car whatsoever, no downpipe added, no new computer , no air box modifications. i mean off the showroom floor to a dyno.

Dr Wankel - If you haven't already, you may want to try lengthing your pre-spool control rod 1 - 1.5 turns, then upping the duty cycle on in the PFC on your primary turbo to compensate for the additional boost blead off via the additional prespool. That should help minimize your boost dip.

CApt Bill,
I thought the PFC eliminates the transition drop. My dynos are just an upward line, then level, then up. So my transition is smooth.

Rotariesrule,

I did not scan in my sheet but my stock motor and turbos with 55K and a K&N drop in filter (only mod) did 208 HP and 212 torque. The date was 12/16/2000, so it was cool out. About 12K miles later I replaced the motor and turbos. That may explain why the numbers were a little low. Hope this helps.

Tom
