running more than 12 pounds on M2 stage 3 ECU, it possible?

I was wondering if running 13-14 pounds on the ECU with my mods could be done. I have been debating it in my head for awhile now and couldn't find anything on a search so I figured I would post. I am running 12-10-12 pattern on the ECU right now and I know of people running all bolt ons including a MP on the ECU so I dunno if I could run more boost or not. I am not sure if they have bigger injectors or FP to accomodate doing so though. If the ECU can retain the HP of a MP in theory couldn't it sustain the HP or me running 13 or 14 psi on my set up seeing as I wouldn't put down nearly as much HP even running 13-14 pounds. But isn't the ECU only tuned for 13psi?
I am not going to try it though unless I can get some sound information saying I could. But is there any plausable way to do so.
mods in sig.

I have the stage 3 m2 kit, and it runs 14 constantly. I sent the cpu to them and told them what I did to the car. If I were you I would find out what the cpu was tuned for. If its only running 12 psi then it was more than likely tuned for that amount of boost.

well I had been running 12-10-12. However I installed a new new Y pipe with a smooth inside versus my old one with the jagged inside. I get some spiking to 14 if I stay completely on it but it does stay there. So I can't really go full throttle, or at least I don't want to untill I know if my ECU is tuned that high.

Since you dont have a high flow fuel pump then I would shy away from the 14 psi. Sure its fun at that pressure but its only a matter of time time till the pump cant keep up. From what I have read about 14 psi on the stock injectors is that is about the max on the duty cycle on them. Do a search if you want to see more info about the duty cycle of the injectors, there are alot of info on this site about it. As for the 14psi spike Im not sure that is what it is. When I drive normal and not at WOT then the boost is at about 12. Now when I go WOT it goes up to 14 psi and stays there. If it was a spike it would jump back down to 12 psi.

my 2 cents

I didn't get any spiking even on cold nights though with my old IC pipe, it would run consistantly at 12. However, after putting on the new smooth IC pipe is when this started to occur.
Ok but even running that psi I am still not putting down as much HP as with a high flow or MP which are running at 12 psi. Would I still be maxing out the injectors despite not putting down as much HP? I'll do a search later on today, can't now gotta go to class.

thanks for the information.

I have the M2 ECU upgrade also. I recently installed a new efini y-pipe, and boost gauge. I was boosting to 15 (not a spike) on the secondary boost and holding to red line. It felt like the car's power was "explosive". Just installed the home depot boost controller (easy install). My boost went down to 12 right away. I have been playing with it to try different things. It's not as fast as before, but it shouldn't blow on me.

I spoke to Brian at M2 today he recommends staying at 12 psi max with my mods. I am guessing that he gives people a conservative number so they won't blow their engines and blame him.
