Unhappy Dull pain I'm feelin'

Well...7 weeks and the FD is gone. I'm going to be fighting the insurance co. 'cause they wanna total it. Took an onramp a bit too fast, as someone said (I can't remember who) a bit past "the edge of traction." That wan't so much fun after all. Pass. side, front right corner and windshield went bye bye. No frame damage. I don't intend to part ANYTHING out. Not yet anyway. Damn do I feel like ****! I'm fine. Only my pride is in ICU right now. I want it back!!!! Let the games begin!

Let them total it and give you the money and then buy it back from the salvage dealer...you should come out ahead.

Well...I'm fighting them to NOT total it and get it fixed. They are giving me some bogus quote for what they think it was worth.

OK, so they wanna screw me! They're sayin that it was worth $11,500 before the wreck. NO FRIGGIN' WAY! And they're claiming just over $11k in damages. BS! So they say that they look at things like auto trader, dealerships and what not. If that's the case, am I wrong for looking at KBB as they quote $14.5k for mine in my area w/ the mileage. FYI it's a VR '93 R1, about 11K on 2nd motor, 93K on body, HKS intake, GReddy CB. Everything else is bone stock. I paid 15K w/ a warranty til Nov. Excellent body and damn good interior. Steve (A-Spec), HELP!!!!!!! Supposedly there's a law in IL (maybe nationwide, I dunno) that sayd that if you don't agree w/ the value they say it's worth, you can find 3 like models and they have to take an average of those. Any more input is GREATLY appreciated.
