not bad at all, i can become a problem down the road but as of now if they are a factory unit they are fine for 18 years of abuse.

That is considered to be very minimal cracking for sure, those are a good set of used twins. Most have multiple fractures/cracks in the same location.

as long as the crack does not extend beyond the gasket, you're fine.

that is a pretty good set right there.

Factory twins are really robust, as others have said that crack is very minor. I have seen them with huge cracks and last for years.

+1

That crack is nothing, if you are really worried that it will get worse, find someone local that can fill the crack by welding. Make sure when you call around you specifically tell them this is cast iron, most welders won't touch cast iron, but if you find someone that's been welding for 30+ years like me it can be done...

I went non seq. with my twins so I had the dude weld up all cracks while he had the turbos to weld up the two holes created by going non seq. He did a very good job and I cleaned up the excess welds with my angle and die grinder. While you have your turbos off, you may want to separate the primary and secondary turbos exhaust housings at the down pipe to 1. inspect any additional cracking (I had a nasty crack where the waste gate flapper makes its seal on my primary turbo. 2. port that waste gate now, so if you ever run a mid pipe in the future you have one less thing to do.

Good luck with what ever your doing to ur rx.
