Circuit Breaker Popping During Start

Before anyone asks, I'll being doing a compression test tonight (or tomorrow) along with checking my battery.

That being said I have a relocated battery to the passenger side compartment. Over the last month to month 1/2 with it being hot as ***** I've had an issue with my Stinger 50Amp Circuit Breaker popping when I go to start my car when it is cold.

When it starts, drives fine and can stop it and start up again. Trying to cold start it in the morning the the fuse will pop and I'll have to reset it. Sometimes it will start on the 2nd try, other times I need to let it sit for 15-20m and then it will start.

Suggestions?

As seen in this diagram: http://www.stanford.edu/~sunid/battery/index.html

Positive is from Fuse Box > Breaker > Positive Battery Terminal.

50 amps seems very low. Most starters need a lot more juice than that. I am using 150 amps.

I think the problem you have is because the cranking amps are higher than 50Amps. You should go with higher amp circuit braker.

I believe you gentlemen are correct. Apparently when I read the "How To" I misread 150 for 50.

I would like to nominate myself for the "Downie of the Day Award".

FYI, the stock wire from the battery positive terminal to the starter is unfused. Starter draws a LOT of amps.
