Different Center Console

So I'm visiting Seoul, Korea at the moment and I bumped into a FD owner which is not so common in Korea other then the Ferrari, Lambo and Porche scene. His center console was very different from what I'm used to, I didn't have a camera at the moment which I was upset about but I found images that represents what I saw. I figured it was interesting since he told me that it was stock.

Looks like factory climate control, from what I've read it was offered on right-hand-drive RX-7's only.

I'm not sure if the owner was telling me that he added a newer console to his vehicle or not, but his car was a early 94 edition.

I'm sure you can get them through a JDM dealer, just have to install the buttons and ***** only though..

I've been considering a whole lot of things like getting a new console surround fabricated and using rx-8 bits, to re-engineering everything and using a pc to control it al-la modern luxury cars.

Thought this was pretty cool so I posted it up, the 7 owners in Korea have to order their parts directly through the Japanese yahoo auction sites. I tried looking up some gear but very hard to figure out their website format.
