Damn Pcv Valve
Can anyone show me a pic with the location of the pcv valve??
or at least tell me where to find it?
I am losing a small amount of boost on the second turbo and apparently this can be the cause of it?

Maybe a plugged cat?
My upper rpm boost has been getting worse over the last few months and I know its my shitty stock exhaust system. All I have installed on that side is a downpipe.

Theres no cat on it... it has a full stainless system on it.
Someone pointed that the pcv valve may be damaged and i found this little piece of kit split in two.....
... there was a spring inside but cos it ws damaged it disappeared. I have since done a temp repair by just joining the hose but i want to know what this was and i think it might be the pcv valve or a shoddy replacement!

might be worth pointing out that when it was split in 2 the second turbo wouldn't come online at all it would spool up but do nothing else! now this valve is stuck in the "open" position and i'm losing a little boost. That's why i'm sure it's the pcv valve.

It looks like an aftermarket check valve. Where did you find it on the engine? Can you blow through it on both ends? If it is the check valve on hosing to the pressure tank (little black box-like thing in front of the UIM), it can definitely affect your boost pattern if it has gone bad.

Right, I have finally managed to positively identify the offending valve!!!
It is indeed a pcv valve...... apparently rx7s have 2 of them (going by the mazda parts diagrams) - a large and a small one! the large one goes to the oil filler neck and the little one is on the vacuum hose that attaches to the purge control solenoid. it's this little one that has been damaged.
Yep can blow through it both ways and i should only be able to blow one way.
the part number is nf01 13-890
