WowFD troubles...!

First put together the car and it turned over but had fuel leak (1680 and K2RD fuel rail) the AN fitting on the bajo bolt side was not tight enough and was leaking..thightened and hold pressure well.

Then went to start again...nothing got some clicking on the pass side under the glove compartment but the starter would not operate. Checked the 12v connection on the starter and 12.2V on the meter..was working by myself so i could not check the S connection while the car was turning over...but with the key on the voltage there was 0v. So I jumped the 12V wire on the starter to the other 12mm connection and the car actually turned over...then the pinion would not come out and the starter just whirred. Then i removed the started and hooked the body to the neg on battery and the positive on the 12mm connection (the one with the wire to the starter) and the thing whirred but the pinion would not come out. It is supposed to? Afterwards, I connected the 12v to the clip connector part on the solenoid and the pinion fired out and returned when i removed it from the 12v.

DO I NEED A NEW STARTER? Please only answer if you have experience...when hooking the 12v to the terminal with the little black wire that looks like it is going to the starter...it whirrs but the pinion does not fire. When hooking 12v to the clip connection terminal the pinion fires and returns normally. I removed the starter but then reinstalled after doing the tests.

I have PFC, DATLOGIT, 10ohm/10watt resistors...and airbag removed (efini wheel)..still beeping...could this disable the start? I have not yet removed the connnection under the drivers side..yellow for the air bag computer...is this necessary for starter enable?

I need help...

thanks

yes, the 120 main fuse is ok..all fuses are ok...while trying to jump the starter to the "other" 12mm pole (one with wire) I accidentally grounded the pos connection and shorted the fuse so I will have ot get another one.

After some research, it may be my ignition switch...meaning that I will have to wire pos to the spade connection on the starter....some say use a relay...but how would you do that?

starter check out ok...not getting signal to the "S" coneection (little tab)...so I wired a 12v to a starter button for adv auto and voila starter right up!

what would be a good wire for a switch 12V instead of a constant under the driver dash?

Thanks

Closure for those who search (like me):

It was the starter cut relay...bypass this with male spade connectors on the blue plastic connector..located on the drivers side kick panel...blue connector located by a black color relay (starter-cut relay) jumped the biggest two wires on the connector and started right up!

So I will need to purchase a relay but the car started right up!
