Crazy spiking after MP install

Man.. i guess my weird boost patterns is solved with the MP install. now i have a full upgraded exhaust. Before i was seeing 10-6 patterns. now i get 11 on primary and spike dramatically when secondaries kick in to 13psi. Of coarse i quickly let go of the throttle. BUt still can't really tell for sure if i have steady patterns. anyway to fix this spike?

I'd get a boost controller or enlarge your wastegate. Or put your cat on until you upgrade your ECU. I don't want to hear about another FD with a blown motor.

what about cheap preventions to regulate boost? Bleed valve mod? and how much would porting the WG cost? Also i heard about a pop off valve but not sure how u tune it to the boost u want it to release? is it setup like a *** like a manual or is there actual dials for certain psi?

ok what ecu are u running....u have an ecu dont u......

ok options
if u have pfc it can tune out the creep
bleed valves may help but if its creep. ull have to enlarge the wg....

enlarger the wg...if u do it ur self it will take basic tools..abt 4 rs to pyll and dissasemble the turbos from their manifold..then abt 1-2-3 hrs with a die grinder with a carbide de-buring bit...

fab a plate that goes in the exhaust..but only has a 2 1/2 hole in it...

I have a few plates available that I used in the exhaust system with 2 1/2 and 2 1/4 cut outs made of stainless steel.

Anyone interested?

Mike

p.s. I ported the wastegates and no longer need them.

READ HIS WORKS BEFORE YOU COMMENT PLEASE

He said spike. To fix spike you either need a new pill on the precontrol line or an adjustable valve in its place!

Most likely creeping. Try the www.dawesdevices.com boost controller.

i just pulled the pills off today... now i'm not getting crazy boost readings. i'm running at a very safe boost level...actually too safe =(. running 8 psi all the way. i might put in the bleed valve and hope to raise it back to 10...would u guys reconmend going back to 10. would the Dp/mp/catback affect the fuel carve at 10 to be in danger of detonation?
