Coolant to TB??

MY question is since my car will never see a very cold start up i blcoked off the coolant lines that once went to the TB is there any other ill effects of doing this, also what was the point of the coolant going through the TB? Thanks

The only ill effect that I experienced was hard start up and hard warm up periods after the mod.

it simplifies things and your intake temps should now be the tiniest hair cooler and I think there is one other benefit. They are listed on max coopers site.

I prefer to loop it rather than block it off. Less likely to rupture a hose than pop a block off cap.

I've been running on the SAME block off cap for over 3 years now, 6 engine rebuilds later...never any problems.

I have the coolant bypassing the TB and just capped off the inlet and outlet of the TB. So it sees no coolant at all...It gets pretty cold here in T-town...when my car used to live outside it started right up in 17f temp like a champ. I rerouted mine just because I was bored and wanted something to do when I was waiting for parts for the hose job...
