Coolant on ground....

So I drove to work today about 2 miles from my house. Before I left I let the car warm up. When I got there I let it sit for a few moments before turning it off. So About a half hour later a co-worker of mine says I have trouble. So I go out and look. There was a little puddle of coolant on the ground. So I started my car and moved it. Nothing was coming out. Right now it's in a different spot. I wanna see if it happens again. What could this be from? Thanks

Could be from several different problems ranging from loose coolant line to bye bye engine. I'd pop the hood and see if you can locate where exactly the coolant is comming from to better pinpoint the problem.

I had this problem since i bought the car. I just now fixed it. First of all you have to check if there is any cracked hoses in your cooling system. radiator hoses and so for because if there is a crack hose. It might not leak but it lets air in. This can cause the vehicle to increase the boiling point in water and it will make it raise, when this happens it has to come out of the overflow tank.
Its normal but its caused by a weak or crack point in your cooling system. They are hard to trace because a lot of times this crack are not big enough to let coolant out but they are crack that will let air in the cooling system.
I traced all of mine out and fixed them but it was still doing it. Then i bought a greddy coolant cap from the Rx7 store and done deal. It hasnt leaked now. Im so happy!! The cap can also do the trick. If the cap is weak and doesnt hold enough pounds of preassure in the cooling system it will let the coolant out just as easy.

Like exturbogsr01 said it could be many things, but start by checking the hoses and most importantly check or change the cooland Caps, I had the same problem for a while and couldn't tell where the hell the coolant came from. Changed the Cap and that was it, when the car heats up after a litle ruff riding some coolant should go to plastic tank and after a lilte cool of should come back, a bad cap will let to much coolant to go to tank and it will over flow.
Hope this helps.

If you see the coolant leaking out very slowly (as in a few drops every minute) from what appears to be the front portion of the engine, it could be your water pump and gasket giving up the ghost. I had a similar problem with very small coolant puddles forming underneath the car, and after checking all coolant line connections, caps, etc., found that my water pump was leaking. This occurred at about 50K miles of a well-cared for FD.

Is the puddle underneath your reserve?

Scrub. It is possible that your waterpump is going out. They have a small hole on the bottom side that will leak when the start failing. That leak will idicate the failed pump.
I have a how to with pics on my site that might be usefull for you.

My site is down for some reason but it should be up soon. Must be a server issue.
Look in the how to area under waterpump.
The link is in my sig.

Thanks for all the help, this weekend I will be installing the v-mount and replacing a couple of the hoses. Hopefully it's not the water pump. If it is i guess it wouldn't be that hard to fix, just a Pain in the ***. After I moved my car and it cooled down again I didn't notice any other coolant on the ground. The coolant was coming from the bottom of the car not in the engine bay so it wasn't any of the caps, although it can't hurt to change one anyway. It almost seems like it's coming from the drain plug. I will check it out in greater detail when I get home.

If it is driping onto the lower rad hose then it is the water pump. From start to finish the replacement job takes about an hour. At least that is all it took me.
