Coolant and boost issue! :)

Hey guys and girls! I need some assistance on my issues! First the coolant issue:

All of a sudden, i'm leaking coolant next to my front right wheel. (res tank?) its not a big leak, but its enough. Is it possible, it could be over filled? And my aftertemp gauge tends to bounce dramatically when I turn left, and go over bumps... its hit MAX 150 on my gauge, but my OEM gauge remains still. THere always seems to be air in my system, so I need to replace my radiator cap, because I think it's lost pressure. Any ideas to why it would leak and do this?

Boost issue!! : Ok, I had a boost issue wit lag and 5psi secondary, so I replaced my check valves with VITON ones, and whilst I was doing this, I noticed that one of my check valves were blocked off? So I left it for now, getting 10psi on my secondary. I've put a photo of the vacuum diagram, and circled which check valve is blocked off and would like to know if anyone could tell me where to find this in the actuall engine bay Also, I just noticed, in the diagram, the green vacuum line, right next to where I circled doesn't display a check valve, yet mine had a check valve on that line... is that ok?

Thank you in advance!

when the last time the coolant system was flushed, was it burped?

boost issue

if it's blocked off and if there's no vacuum line there you won't find that check valve. is the double throttle solenoid even there? also there is a check valve on that green vacuum line.

also i'm confused now, are you still boosting at 5 psi or did you fix it by changing the check valves?

I'm now getting 10psi after the check valves, and yes there was vacuum line there, with a check valve it was just blocked off. Now, the boost issue i've got now is lag... as I change gears, it takes a second for boost to come on... assuming this occurs because one of the check valves were blocked off?

the purpose for the double throttle is to close the secondary throttle plates. the vacuum line that closes the plates is blocked off on your car so u don't have to worry about that then. (the plates basically stay open)

check out this site if you havn't already,

Apparent Turbo Lag---
It might be because you have disabled the double throttle actuator---its purpose is to temporarily control the rush of air through the throttle body when you hammer the throttle pedal down so that you do not go lean. The mixture goes lean because the MAP sensor cannot react fast enough to the increase in pressure when the air rushes in.

So you might be feeling a lean stumble when you roll on the gas peddle quickly.

When i first got my car, it was boosting fine. And i never done this so that must not be the cause. Maybe the reason it's lagging is because i have the check valve in the wrong place?

A lag in the turbo can be one of many things:
1. Wearing Solenoids
2. Wearing turbo control actuator
3. Slow/Misadjusted wastegates
.....and the list goes on.

I would definitely get under your car and start checking some of the easy things (all 3 actuators).

The turbo control actuator requires both vacuum and pressure to operate. Ensure that both lines are connected and trace the lines for leaks.

Also be sure to check that the vac and pressure chamber check valves are on the right way and are NOT leaking. In order to test this, you will need a handheld vac pump to ensure that the checkvalves are working correctly. A lack of vac to the TCA will lead to a slow response.

That is my guess, although it can be one of many, many things. Be sure to check the link to the turbo troubleshooting website as provided above.
