Constant attention...
This past Christmas while waiting for a parking space in the Dallas Galleria area, a mid-age man in a Mercedes SL Roadster kept looking at my FD, he finally came over and ask about the 7. He seem little shocked when I told him the car was a 1994 Jap imported RX7.
Another occasion...last month my step-father in-law was visiting...after spending 30 minutes explaining how rotary motor work. He was completely shocked to learn that it has no piston. And demand have picture taken and a test ride...LOL we were doing 110 mph flying thru Lake Ray Hubbard.
As for my 60 yrss old mom...she adore the RX7...
BTW...that picture made the car look like it was convertible...

At the time, I had two FD's, one black 94 R2 and a 93 Touring, the Touring was at a shop having some fabrication for the turbo kit I wanted and the R2 had a near Spirit R look(badges & emblems, steering wheel, red stitching, interior, seats, 99 bumper/wing). Everywhere I went people were asking me about it. A lot of the times were when I went to fill up at a gas station. One time I parked at an outdoor mall called the Block (for the guys in OC, they know where it is), I didn't want any door dings or anything so I parked away as far as I could with no cars nearby, when I got back, I see a black Supra and a couple of Honda Civics parked next to it.

I have the efini emblems too. But i still have the mazda and rx7 badge on there as well. Either way, they end up finding out what car it is.
