compression on a stock 13b

Hi,

Before anyone starts off... yes I've searched . I may be new to this forum but I have been a member of many other car forums for quite a number of years and know to search before asking a question.

There is just to much information on this site that it was getting tiresome sifting through everything.

I just would like to know what a good compression would be on a 13b.

Thanks,

anything above 90 is still good but a brand new engine could be as high as 125

Not to go in the wrong direction, but...

Are you looking for compression on a 13B (N/A FC Engine) or on the 13B-REW (TT FD Engine)??

oh, you're gonna fit in "just" fine... and if you're looking to buy, might want to spend a liiiiitttle more time in that FAQ section.

what's that supposed to mean?

... well for the past 4 days I've been reading and reading about these cars. Just like alot of people, I am coming from piston engines (currently I own a Nissan Skyline). I know there is alot to learn, but I learn fast. No one has worked on my Skyline but me since I've bought it. Before I had it I had never worked on a car before. To this date I have changed the headgasket, clutch/rear main seal, alot of suspension components and removed alot of un needed emissions crap. All it took was a little reading and taking my time. I will have no problem adjusting/learning about and how to work on rotarys.

There is a difference between the two engines, which is why I asked to specify.

Four days of reading up on the car is good, not to be a dick though... I spent about 6 months researching HARD before I decided to buy one.

Read the FAQ's, read the archives, since you already know how to search use the function.

Enjoy the car

Thanks for the info. I have always wanted an rx7, but until recently I havent been able to acutally afford to. I plan to do a lot more reading before I buy one. I am not a person who just buys a car and beats on it. Its a lot of money and I want to make sure everything is done that can be to keep it in top shape.

One thing is for sure, I have a lot of experience with un-reliable cars that break down an need a lot of maintence. ...
