clutch line fitting sizes

I am thinking about putting together a braided replacement clutch line. The aftermarket lines look like preassembled brake cables, but I am not sure what size fittings/adaptors I need for the ends.

Has anybody done this before?

Because 'making' one appears to be nothing more than screwing a couple fittings onto a preassembled line. Since I have to purchase parts from a fitting place for my turbo kit I was thinking of throwing a clutch line in with the rest of the order. Nice to see you're still around

plus you can replace the entire line from the master to the slave, no hard to soft to hardline ****...

sign me up for the info too, i have been wanting to know this for a while and have just had the lack of enthusiasm to go out and pull the line off....

An old thread, but the info doesn't seem to be out there.....

Car is inaccessible at the moment, from memory, brake nipples are 10x1 (assume clutch is the same?), the hex at the end of the bellhousing fitting is 17 - I think!

My question, is the fitting on the end of the flexible line towards the master cylinder the same? Memory must be shot, can't visualize that end at all.

Always the way!

Appears a female convex seat fitting will mate with the tube nut and would be the same both ends. Appears there are a number of retaining clip heights out there, knowing my luck, more than likely I'll choose the incorrect one.....hopefully 17mm hex is right.

ah i see what your saying, the fitting that the hard line actually goes into? if thats it, my steel braided end wasnt a 17mm, it was just barely too small, try 11/16
