Need Some Solenoid Relocation Picture

Ok, i torn into the rat nest today to replace the fuel rail and relocated the coil, now i think about relocating the rat nest. I just need picture or idea to bounce off of. I was thinking moving it to the coil rack was, but found out that the intake manifold going to interfere with it, so im back to square one.

the coil rack location seems way to difficult and near pointless to me. some have just relocated some of the more important soleniods that tend to go bad.

another thing to consider, is doing one of the vac system simplification mods. then relocating the soleniods left over. i was thinking of doing this, but i was going to relocate mine to where the cruise control originally was. you prob have your coil rack there now...

I was thinking it over to just relocated it some where else other then the coil spot, but it seem that i going to have some very long vacuum lines. On the other hand every inch i can save would be great if i plan to move it to the coil spot. Anyway, which solenoid most likey to go out?

This is what I did. Only the emissions related solenoids were removed from the rack and the unneeded metal tubes for the vac lines were also removed. I also re-located the three-way solenoid to the inside of the UIM (upper left) using a fabbed bracket and a block-off plate bolt.

This is the best picture I've got of the UIM installed. No interference and the three-way is a little more protected:

Thanks. My first rebuild. Alot of help but I think it turned out well.
I should add that double-throttle and AWS was also removed. IIRC only three solenoids remained after emissions. The rat's nest "rack" was replaced in the stock location...albeit very much reduced. I agree with the above though. Moving it seems like a lot of trouble for little gain. I can now access the nest without alot of trouble since the UIM takes < 20 minutes to remove.

Look for member Saxyman990 solenoid kit and relocation. I did this and it really pays dividends when you have to trouble shoot and everything is easily accessible.

They are not polarity sensitive. There are two wires to each solenoid.
