Clicking noise under the UIM?

Their is a weird clicking noise under the UIM. Its all the time. Idle, through about 4k before my exhaust noise takes over. I thought it would be my Air pump but its not. I thought it would be my alternator but its not. I can also hear it from underneath the car. Its not coming from anywhere past the firewall.

Unless you have larger/aftermarket injectors, it's not normal.

There are many causes for noises like that. I would start first with checking your connections to your coils/plugs. Make sure the plug wires are seated properly and aren't worn. You might use a little dielectrical grease on the seats to help keep it from arcing.

Just check to make sure they are seated. It's not uncommon to install new plug wires, not have them all the way seated to slip a little after some driving, then have the spark arc'ing a bit which makes a clicking sound.

Mine was the idel controll motor under the uim. Then I fixed that I heard it again and it was the turbo controll sylinoids on the front. You will feel the things hum when you touch them.
