The only thing you should really be concerned about when looking at your spark plugs is the electrode wear, and any weird deposits (metal flakes, etc.). You cannot tell if your engine is "running lean" by a spark plug unless you do a "plug chop" (running the engine under full throttle for an extended period, then chopping the throttle and shutting down the engine), which is obviously impractical (and dangerous) to do in a car with power steering and assisted brakes, and especially with a forced-induction engine, due to its different fueling characteristics.
The overall coloration of the plug surfaces will be affected by part-throttle operation, where a/f ratios can fluctuate wildly.
Also, FYI, using a spark plug to determine your a/f ratios requires examining the porcelain insulator down inside the plug; the outer metal portions are affected by the heat of the combustion chamber surfaces, and thus will give false readings.

don't race, don't need to
My plugs look JUST like that when I swap them. I'd change 'em a bit sooner than you did there to keep it running peppy! (I run ~4000 miles on stock 7's and 9's, stock engine. It just really LIKES fresh plugs, is all...).
