CAS (crank angle sensor) Clearances

Ok my car isnt starting and im beginning to think that my pickups are picking up the proper signal. I used the necessary feeler gauge and the top pickup is roughly .080 off the wheel and the bottom one is roughly .073 off the wheel. What are the correct specs on spacing the magnets off the wheel for the CAS. I heard it was something like .025..Is that correct?

clearance spec is between .039-.078.

since they fit into a bracket that bolts to the motor, assuming the wheel isn't bent, chances are slim that's your problem.

check very very carefully the wire condition immediately at the plastic snap-in fitting to the sensors.

Yeah its weird because i have fuel and i have spark...its starting to get me pissed. I unwrapped and wrapped the engine harness to elminate the unnecessary connections but i know the harness isnt the problem since i went over it like 5 times and my buddy even went over it and cleaned it up alot!

I wish I could of helped out more yesterday. I have been thinking about your problem and can't really think of any thing else to try.

Does any one know if the ABS was disconected would it cause the car not to start?

I know we checked the injectors to make sure they were going to the right housings. But how about the plug wires?
