Unhappy car runs worse

adjusted tps to tolerances and now car runs worse. closed the idle screw below elbow and and upper at tb. idle hunts worse now and it seems i have no power in upper rpm band. tried fiddling with idle-no luck

you might have bumped the vacuum line off the bottom of the MAP sensor when you were adjusting the tps, my suggestion is look for **** you might have done wrong while focusing on the main issue. for me that's the case 7/10 times

Any odd sounds coming from the engine bay when it's idling? Are you sure everything is nice and tight, no cracked hoses, etc? Is your FD bone stock?

hrmm what exactly does it do? what does it smell, sound like, and how long does it hunt? once you start driving is everything fine but just weak or does the car jerk when you get on the throttle?

actually before i started messing with it i did ok. it would idle high, not aws, then hunt for a while, then settle to 1200, then when rad fan came on would drop to 800. turbo's spooled, great power ran great on throttle.

how exactly did you adjust the tps? (how did you guage the tolerances?) are you sure you got it right? if you give the car a little gas in neutral does it help it settle down?

i adjusted it like a thread that damian gave me. warm up car, cam separated, loosened screws on tps, put a safety pin in gr/rd & bk/gn wires & tested w/ voltmeter. turn to place where within all tolerances, tightened down. oh, i also backed off idle adjustments. then i adjusted screw under tb. hunting got longer drawn out, but same rpm. tried several idle screw adjustments, under & on top w/ no avail.not sure i got it right or if it was even my problem. seemed a little high though and i didn't know how much of a difference it might make, so i tried to adjust. gas in neutral doesn't help.
