Car runing funny

I have a 1993 with bacis mods and i been have a problem with my motor it feels like its running in limb mode and i try resetting the ecu with no luck and now my Boost vac is down to about -11. Before it was at -16. Do guys think its a bad seal. If i can't fix it this week im going to take it to the dealer because i don't know where to take the car in CT.
Ps the vac goes down to -11 after it warm up.
Thanks Mark T

You have an electrical issue with the cooling fans. I had the same problem before. Basically the wires from the relays leading to the passenger compartment were shorted out. It caused the relays to switch on and stay on. I could audiably hear the relays click on when I connected the battery (even when the car was off)

Try doing a search on how to pull codes and report back. You may want to make sure your vac hose is connected to hte map sensor.

Its above the UIM on the firewall. It says map sensor on it. its above the throttlebody. Make sure that the hose is plugged into it.

Your electrical issue may be different from mine. Maybe your problem is with the relays instead of the wires. I would recommend taking it to an electrical shop. These shops have diagnostic tools and can easily tell where the problem is and should be <$150 to fix.

Other wise you're only able to guess at the problem. The relays are in back of the intake box (if you're looking at your car's engine bay). They look like little black boxes with rubber coverings on them. There are 4 of them and the relays have wires coming out of them. These are the wires I'm talking about and are a bitch to change.

A temporary solution you can use until you get your car fixed is to disconnect the battery everytime you shut the motor off.

Sorry to say it, but I think you're engine is on it's last legs. J&R over here in Elmont has treated me very well with regards to diagnosing and fixing tough problems as well as rebuilding my motor. Call Joe or Roan at 516.616.5812 is his number. Tell him Al sent you.

Under no circumstances should you take your car to the dealer. They will charge you an arm and a left nut and it's doubtful that your car will come back any better. Search for dealer and you can read about all the horror stories.

mileage doesn't always mean that much. 11" of vacuum at idle often points to low compression. good lck.

The electrical issue is most likely unrelated to your vacuum problem.

Does your car's rpms chop & how much is the oscillation by?

What does your car idle at to give it the 11 vacuum? Is it at a very low idle?
