Car feels like it pulls to one side under boost

My car just recently starting pulling to one side when I floor it. If I let the steering wheel go in a straight line and floor it, the car feels like it pulls/rotates to one side then gets normal as soon as I get off the gas. If I try this without boosting, the car doesnt do it. I have new tokico illuminas and new H&R springs installed. Would a bad PPF do this?

Check your tire pressures. A low rear tire will cause your *** end to shift over to that side.( Or pull to that side) Also just make sure all your settings are equal in comparison to each other. Spring height, tokico adjusters, etc..

I am leaning more towards a low tire though.

I have the same problem. I have a 93 and I move to the right under hard throttle. I also removed my hood to see how the engine is reacting and noticed the engine was dipping down in the front which tells me the dif is moving up. I removed my ppf and inspected it and it looked fine. The dif bushings looked OK as well. My motor mounts are good too. Its an odd feeling like the car drifts over and instinctively you steer to correct the movement. I can also feel movement in the drive-train under load. I think its the dif tilting up. It makes things feel real unstable. I have inspected the rear links and there is no real big movement. I assume side is twisting but can't find the root cause as of yet. I am going to build a transmission mount. It won't be solid, I will use real trans mounts designing it . This should stabilize the engine and trans and if it still happens I will mock up a rear end mount. That should isolate the problem somewhat. I think the trans mount will stabilize the ppf and related structure and it may solve the problem. Let me know if you find something.

I would also check the alignment of the rear toe adjustment. If there is one that is out it is trying to drive the car at an angle.

I don't mean to harp on the rear wheels area being the root of the problem, but it just shows the symptoms.

Also a bad drive axle( such as stripped splines) would cause the car to drive with 1 side more promanently than the other. However: I would expect to hear a complaint about a horrible noise from the rear end to go with that. So i am ruling that out as a main cause)

Have you changed tire demensions lately? Wider, offsets, lowered suspension( extreme) etc...

Mine does that also, but I know my right rear toe-link is bad and has some play, thus changing my toe-in and thus the driving characteristics.

I had that problem before and it was because the left rear tire was more worn than the right one. I changed both and re-adjusted my hiper dumpers

Sounds like worn bushings in the rear.

I had the same problem and it was just tire pressure. Check that first as it is the easiest to solve and the cheapest. I hope that is what it is.

I agree with the tire pressure fix, I had the same thing happen to me. The right rear tire was at 25psi. I also agree with the easiest fix first. Most perple try to overtroubleshoot and spend $$$$ just to find out it was an easy fix.

You just installed new springs/shocks without getting an alignment? Get the car properly aligned.

im voting for the low tire pressure. i had a tire go almost flat while i was driving, and it felt like my car was tring to drive sideways. and yes, the more load you put on it, the harder it pulls to the side.

low tire preassure

This problem just showed up not even 3 days ago. I checked my tires and one was lower than the other. After correcting the tire pressures, the car seems to drive straight again. Thanks!
