Can I open my wastegate manually/permanently?
I was just wondering if I can open my wastegate (and pre-control if necessary) so that I can run the can naturally aspirated and not stress/spool the turbos?
I was thinking of feeding the wastegate 15PSI from some pre-pressurized source and leaving that capped and under pressure.

pretty sure it's this one, circled in the attached photo. i believe the other one is for controlling the seq system pre-spool.

You could remove the w/g actuator arm and wire the door open...easiest way to do it but why? FYI you are still going to get some boost at higher rpm even with the door held open, not much it won't make you "naturally aspirated"

Another option would be to run an electronic boost controller like the Greddy Profec. When you have the boost controller off, it will only run at the wastegate spring level (around 7 PSI). Then you enable the boost controller and use your HI/LOW settings effectively giving you 3 boost settings.

Even running 0 psi, your turbos are still spooling/spinning. If you want the least amount of wear, you'd need to remove them. Granted, 7 PSI on a modded RX7 is still plenty fast, but IMO the wear you are trying to save is going to be out-weighed by the effort. I think you are putting more effort into it than what you will actually get back.
