Can anyone please post the step by step installation of Apexi turbo timer?
Hi, all.
I just bought the apexi turbo timer, the long skinny silver one. The shop which sold me the unit wanted to charge me 120 bucks for installation. I knew this is not a difficult job and certainly shouldn't cost that much to install. I know some of you guys have this and had installed it yourself. Can anyone tell me how to install this turbo timer step by step. BTW, I don't have the harness, but if it is too difficult without it, I will go buy one. It will be greater if you can also inclue picture. I just hate those guys who pretend they're professional and rip people off!!! Thanks for your help!

GET THE HARNESS!! Best $12 you will ever spend!
I wasn't sure if they made a harness for that tt but if they do, it just plugs into the ignition harness and run the wire to the ebrake. Takes less then 30 minutes this way or about 2 hours and lots of labor without the harness.
1) remove steering coulmn cover
2) find plug that looks like the harness you bought
3) plug harness in, plug stock harness into harness you bought
4) remover center console, run ebrake wire and tap into the sensor that tells it when the ebrake is down or up
5) make sure it works
6)put covers back on

If you can't find an Apex'i harness, use a GReddy one, they're the same. And for the love of god don't even think about doing it without a harness... they just don't cost that much. The ECU wires are cake once you actually get in there, and the parking brake wire is easy to get to once you remove the center console and the boot... it's a thin green wire.

These directions pretty much apply to all t-timers. But you really really gotta get that harness....really.

What do you mean the steering column cover? Sorry, I'm not good at the name of the parts. Is it below the steering wheel? A picture will be great. And how do I wire the ebrake? Do I cut that green line or what? Anyway, thanks for the input. You guys are great. I'm going to buy the harness and install it myself, then go to the shop and give those fxxxers my mighty middle finger.
