Can anyone identify this air filter?

Can anyone help me identify this air filter? The FD I recenly bought has this air filter on it (check out the pics).RX7twinturboboy has been a big help to me on other things and thinks it's an Greddy Gracer Airinx. I've tried to contact Greddy directly to confirm this but they don't respond. All I'm trying to do is buy a replacement element but the Greddy dealers I've contacted either don't have time to help or still don't know what the filter is, even after two picutres and 5 days. Not sure if I'll put anything made by Greddy on my FD after this.

Yep, looks like an older Re-Amemiya intake. I am not a big fan of foam or open element filters. They deteriorate with age and the foam can get sucked into the turbos and motor. They also don't filter very well and suck hot air. Stick with the cotton/guaze material like K&N.

There seems to be a consensus developing here on the manufacturer. All of my previous sports cars had K&N's. This is my first RX7. I was just trying to avoid spending $400 because I need a new filter. Any recommendations on a kit to convert over to K&N's?

What are you going to do about the IC - keep it stock? Because that's the most pressing question when you are selecting a filter - a lot of the aftermarket kits (and the OEM setup) won't work with anything other than a SMIC, or perhaps a med mount.

IC? Is this short for intercooler? If so I plan on keeping the stock unit for a long while.

I've always wanted HKS filter kit. It comes with polished hardpipes and good filters. Used on the Amemiya Cars and always makes me want em

But ya thats the old purple Amemiya filter. I would think it is inefficient compared to other filter kits

Ok guys I've decided to ditch this foam filter setup and convert over to K&N's. Just ordered the Fighters-Garage intake system. Thanks for your input.
