ButtonWillow today with TrackNutz

Link

Day started with rain, FD is very very twitchy...as it dried out...the car got better.

Very nice day, perfect weather.
Ran a 2.26 for the full course.

Glad it dried out Cossie. It was dry on Saturday, but when we went home this morning (around 7) it was starting to rain. How many cars were at the event? Any other RX-7s?

There was another red one....FD

I lent my friend my FD, so we basically run 2 run groups back to back. Was pretty funny...

ttb>> I had to borrow wheels from a friend...didnt want to drive to LA and then Buttonwillow on R compounds, especially with the rain

that's definitely "pimpin"

"I have arrived" is when you your pullin' it with a Hummer!

What did you put the 99 tail on? Was it an R1/R2 with holes, or something else? Cost?

I didn't run at all-- my wife was taking the driving school. I was crew chief

In the morning they split into East and West Loops, with Buttonwillow first timers on the East Loop and returning people on the West Loop. In the afternoon they ran the full track-- the wife says it was probably Race config #25 (I couldn't really tell from where I was located). All were run clockwise. See the interactive track map at http://www.buttonwillowraceway.com

No times taken, at least by me. I'm sure that someone had a Hot Lap timer, but I didn't notice one.

Now, when I've been there before, I've always run Race config #1, which I understand is the longest config.
