Question boost spike??

So i read through a bunch of info in the FAQ's to try and figure out why in first and second gear i get really bad boost spikes like 1-1.2 bar (not good) but i cant find a clear reason? any ideas on what i could look for or check to make this easier?

What are your mods?

When you're running more mods and still using stock boost control I think it tends to create more spikes. A good electronic boost controller or ball-spring boost controller has helped many folks with this.

Street port
3mm seals

I thought about geeting boost controller, any recomendations for the best one?

wouldn't the 3" exhaust path w/o cat alone be enough to cause the spiking

No cats is a big mod. Not huge power, but it will f**k with your boost control. The fact that you're only running a K&N in a stock airbox is probably what's keeping your boost from creeping as well. You definitely need some different boost control.

Since I personally hate paying more for things that don't perform better, I recommend a ball-spring manual boost controller rather than an electronic one. But whichever way you go it should give a massive improvement.

The open filters will flow more. It might cause your boost to creep, which no boost controller can stop. (Creep is when the wastegate is fully open and it's still not relieving enough exhaust). To be safe, you should port your wastegate before making any more intake/exhaust mods.

I was about to say the same thing, wastegate porting will fix a boost creep problem. I had it done and it fixed things for me when I was running twins.
