boost controller selenoid makes noise?...

i have the greddy type s boost controller and i mounted the solenoid inside the car and whenever i boost it makes a ticking noise. is this normal? has this happened to anyone before?..... thanks!

I think i remember reading somewhere about people hearing some sort of noise when they mounted a MBC in their cars. I'm not 100% sure though.

Yes, some of the EBC solenoids are on the noisy side.

I have the Type S and yes it does make a slight noise. I can't notice it anymore though.

Yes it does make a clicking noise. I have the same one.

totally normal. A friend mounted one inside the engine bay, against the firewall, and it can be heard inside while driving. It was a greddy too.

The Greddy solenoid clicks like crazy, if you have an external dump wastegate you don't notice it (only because of the noise of the WG)
