Boost Controller, Change Tuning?
Im curious to know that if I replace the boost controller on my car if it will have to be retuned. The boost controller seems to be faulty and varies in boost. So i plan to replace it. Dont want to have to get it retuned if I change.
Also i plan on changing the exhaust to more open catback then the RB duals that are on it also wondering if this will change the tuning settings as well.

Changing the boost controller no. If you are using it to up your boost then make sure your tune is able to take the higher boost level.
Since you are keeping the cat i don't think much in your tune would change. If you cut out the cat you'd need to add more fuel to accommodate for the air flow.

The problem Im having is the car is tuned to 15lbs of boost but i am normally only seeing 7 on occasion seing 10. I dont believe I have a boost leak because i am seeing 19-21 vacuum. I have the greddy profec-b. I want to think it is the boost controller causing the issue but i will listen to any advice as to what to check.

The controller is setup correctly as for the spring im not sure. If it was tuned at 15 wouldnt the spring have to be set higher to achieve that boost level? As far as leaks go I almost positive there are none due to the good vac pressure. Also what is a good way to check for boost leaks other than just going over the carlistening for them.

well took it out this afternoon and was boosting between 12 and 15 so this is leading me to believe it is the boost controller. When you turn the car off and on or the boost controller of or on it seems to reset itself and go back to 15.

The usual way to check for leaks is to inspect all the couplers by removing them from the car and closely inspecting them. Just looking at them may not show up the defect. There are also a few threads on pressurizing the intake tract to show up leaks - search.
