Also, what's the worst case core charge? I may toast the stock twins pretty well before I finally take them off

Thanks,

Just shoot me, instead. My turbos blew in Sept...and I went with friggin rebuilds for about $1,200. I feel like a chump now for not being patient enough to let the car sit and take my time choosing replacements.

Just for some info, Bryan plans on putting his "secret weapon" technology in his basic rebuilds and Stage 1 upgrades also. It basically helps put less stress on the shafts, spools much quicker and you can run more boost reliably. Not sure of prices but if the new Stage 2 secret weapons will be $2k, then I'd imagine the rebuilds and Stage 1s would be very reasonable for what you're getting.

Bryan charges extra for broken shafts - I think $150 for each shaft that's broken. I sent him a $200 pile of junk and neither shaft was broken but he said a good many secondary shafts are broken. They were in new condition when he sent them back - unbelievable.

As far as warranty - I have it in front of me.

Oil lines are a must and you must keep the receipt in case of failure. Proper cool down after hard acceleration should be done.

Things he won't cover are basically things that are YOUR fault not his (apex seals going throught the turbos), compressor surging (your BOV has to be working correctly), oil starvation (duh), overspeeding the turbos (not related to boost), trying to perform internal work on them, etc.

I've witnessed first hand his superior customer service and he WILL back up his warranties. He's been nothing but great to me and is so confident in his work that he gives this warranty that nobody else offers. Definitely a place to look when looking for rebuilds or upgrades.

Stephen was at Dynolab for the runs, but they are closed. They are going to spend the night here in town and run it in the morning. Keep your fingers crossed.

I know that I can't wait to see the results. Not that it will matter, I'm gonna get a set anyway. But still I'd like to see what numbers they put down.

I realy hope they put some good numbers down. It would be so cool to see 450rwhp on twins. That way, when you get done blowing off a 10 second pass, you can pop your hood, and say, "Yeah, it has the basic bolts-ons, but not much else than that."

They'll make the ultimate sleeper if everything works out.

These are unlike any other upgraded twins ever from what I have gathered. Even M2 can't compare with their attempt at upgrading twins. Go to www.bnrsupercars.com Maybe that'll help some. Laterz.

Woof!

I'll be going to Indy. And if someone hooks me up, I'll have a set of SUPER TWINS on board too. Now, I just need to work on the "Tony magic tuned software" to boot.

Im most interested in seeing where the power comes on.

Technically 3, counting both of his.

Mine are w/o the secret sauce so it'll be interesting to compare them. I'll probably be going back to Bham shortly after to have mine "juiced up".

I just emailed Dave at KDR to put in the carbon sealed BNRs that are in a box up at KDR. I was going to have Bryan upgrade to the "secret weapons" but I'm selling the car this spring and not necessarily concerned with monstrous numbers. Dave said he'd be installing them and tuning right after Xmas so between Stephen's 2 dynos with "secret weapons" running parallel, Lost Time running carbon seal BNRs parallel, and my carbon seal BNRs running sequential - you'll have a lot of different dyno sheets to compare - should be interesting.

Very interesting. Also nice because it's on several different cars just like someone mentioned earlier. They all run so differently. It will be a good way to get some averages. Rough ones, but averages none the less.

cant wait to see some real numbers. i read that they are to spool faster than stock in sesquential, but what about non. im kinda curious as i get tired of being careful everytime my UIM comes off. what would happen if this knowledge was applied to a large single though. could we have even more power in a fast spooling single. food for though, or should i say boost for thought.

You need something with fully programmable fuel and timing. I don't know much about the PMS, but the PFC certainly does it. Most, if not all of us running the BNRs run the PFC.

Amen to that!! The PFC seems to be the way to go for most users. The only other alternative that I would even consider would be the Haltech. That's a very nice EMS. But the PFC has tons and tons of tech support. Just my little bit of knowledge.

That's what I would tell you. So would most others probably. Plus the price is right. IMHO I wouldn't bother to buy the commander with it. Just get the datalogit and wideband tune it on a dyno. when you buy the commander you have tendancies to wanna screw with the settings too much and that's how you end up destroying an engine.

I'm not all that familiar with the Haltechs and some of the others, but the PFC is extremely user friendly. Throw in the added features of the Datalogit and its support group to the already great support you can get on here, and it's tough to beat.

However, if I was just going to do the basic boltons and maybe some upgraded turbos, but never planned on turning the boost up past 1.0bar, I'd stay with one of the remapped ecus for simplicity. As long as you don't need to play with the timing too much, I'd go this route, it'll save you a heap of money.
