Hey man, I'm sorry I got kinda snappy with you. People started getting kinda pushy and by the time I got down there to your post I was kinda ill. Anyway, I just posed the new Dynojet numbers over on the other thread so you can check them out now. These arent as high as the other place but they are still good and the hp curve between the shift points is awsome. I dont know what to think about the other results I got, but I feel like this new Dynojet sheet probably best reflects my car.

If someone wants to post it over onto this one be my guest. I'm not sure how to make it show up as a picture.

Thanks,

Great numbers! It's about time we had a documented 400+ RWHP on twins.

Whose M2 setup are you comparing too? And if the M2 was sequental where's the dip at cross over?

Why does the torque level off abruptly at 4700 rpm? Is that where you get full boost?

Very nice to see the sheets, thanx Stephen! Also good to see the proof for my own eyes. I was catching all kinds of flack from the local guys about these twins. I've just printed out the chart and will be heading to the shop in town tomorrow afternoon. Congrats bro. Laterz.

I too was totally blown away by the numbers that the bnr turbo setup is producing. But I walked into Rotary Performance yesterday to get some questions answered about the rebuild that I am about to undergo. I asked rotary what they felt about the bnr turbos and they are impressed with them but the ones that they know of being put on the dyno are and i dont know how to explain this but they are not dynos that measure hp at the wheels they are another kind of dyno that measures it differently I wish i could remember but im stupid and have a bad memory. But they do want to dyno a set to see what they will produce but they still swear by the t78 and i am just wishing that they would put out a ball bearing t78 until then I feel that i am going with the gt35/40. who knows that is still a ways off for me at least 6-8 months but call up rotary performance and talk to them. but that is just me and i dont know much but please do research on them or call up rotary. they do know what they are talking about.

Well, I was talking to Steve about that and he mentioned it looked like a small boost spike. After thinking about it I remembered on my way home I did have about a 1psi spike at peak boost. My boost stoped building at like 19 at 4700 then instantly droped down to 17-18 like it was set for. Steve thinks this is why the tq curve make a sharp angle right there instead of curving around like it normally would do.

Also guys, I still have more safe hp in my tuning. I should be able to get more peak hp as well as a lot more low end hp. I'm running really rich and loading up with fuel till about 3000-4000rpms. One I pull that out they will spool up and build hp even faster.

butt-dyno speaks a lot for these turbos. they are faster than any twin i have ever witnessed.

The PFC reads in kilograms of force per square centimeter. 1.14 kgf/square cm = 16.214612 lbf/square inch (PSI).

It has also been observed that the PFC's boost readings can be off depending on conditions. Sometimes it's dead on and sometimes it can be off by as much as 2 PSI on the low side. So 16-18 PSI is the range you were at. Didn't you say you saw 17 PSI on your boost gauge?

I thought the 17psi is the limit of the PFC without that "whachamacallit" gadget......

1.15 = top reading with stock 2bar map sensor

I've confirmed this using a mightyvac on the map sensor. 1.15 *14.22 kg/cm^2= 16.353 psi max reading for the PFC.

Of course, you can go over that in boost, but the PFC won't recognize you're going over that .....

The 3-bar map sensor allows you to go another bar on top of that (30 psi). You'll need the dataloggit to rescale the p side of the 20x20 map if you want to go over 1.4 kg/cm^2 (19.9 psi). Race gas, big injectors, pump(s), big lines, etc. all needed when you decide to go play in that arena (Ari, Steve K, and the other super studs of RX7dom).

Mine is here, but I still have not installed it.

Yea, the Power FC wont display any higher than 1.15 without the upgraded map sensor SO, I turn it down just barely below that. The reason is if its showing 1.15 it could be 1.15 or 1.75 and you cant tell with the stock map sensor. I ran into that already lol

Anyway, yes my PFC is showing 1.14 which is 16.22 (as mentioned above). My gauge was showing 17-18 just depending on which side of the needle you go by.

Well, my fuel system is 850 primary and 1200 secondary with a Walbro pump.

As for the intake ports, I'm not really sure how much he takes off, its Brians (BNR) standard streetport but I have no idea how it compares to other companies street ports. My exhaust porting is pretty mild.

do the bnr turbos help prevent the small cracks in the manifold that's so common w/ the stock twins.

Hmm, well no one has had them long enough to test about the cracks. Just as a guess I think that is from exhaust heat rather than turbo heat. The exhaust heat will remain so I dont think it'll help....could be way off though.

My idle is rough right now but its from tuning not porting. Once I get my tuning right at idle I'll let you know what it sounds like

For anyone that pulls up this thread trying to do research, I traped 125 in the 1/4 and 98 in the 1/8 which driving like I was just pulling away from a red light haha, I drug it out of the hole really slow due to me still having the stock rear end.

That was with a totally full tank of fuel, sub, spare wheel/jack, ect ect ect. With all that gone and actually launching my car I should pick up another 2-3mph. In addition I think I still have around another safe 20rwhp in tuning. All this togather is going to place me into the high 120's which is enough to run well into the 10's!!!!

Here is the link to the thread about the trip to the drag strip....
