Blown Gaskets? White smoking engine, whats wrong?

Hey boys, i was out last night and revving my FD a bit hard,
suddenly my coolant warning went off on my dash board and white smoke started pouring out of the left hand side of my engine. the smoke seemed to come from under the right side of the engine under the throttle body and after it cooled out there was signs of coolant condesation from the smoke itself.
The wierd thing is i filled out the radiator and the Defi meters indicated the water temp was really low,
cud this be a situation of a blown gasket and if not what just happened?
appreciate the help boys

Does the exhaust smell like candy? If so, you probably took out a seal. If you do it now, you'll have a relatively affordable rebuild on your hands.

That said, each morning, my exhaust smells a bit of coolant, but I've not had ANY heating issues... in fact, my temps are NEVER over 95C, even during extended hard driving.

You probably blew a coolant hose. I hope you shut the engine off immediately.

Replace the hose, in fact replace every coolant hose, fill with coolant, and drive it again.

awesome cheers mates,
i was hoping it was too much pressure which disconnected a hose and not a gasket cuz some of my mates were going on about how it sounds like a blown gasket and how severe that is.
mechanic coming down tomorrow to check the engine.

+1 on this - blown coolant seals don't usually leak into the engine compartment. They usually leak internally - either combustion gasses into the coolant, or coolant into the combustion chamber.

PA Try To Help

The Same Kind Of Deal Happened To Me. I Bought My Car And Everything Was Fine But The Next Day When I Started It Up It Was Puffing Out Clouds Of White Smoke That Smelled Like Coolant.... I Was Told By My Mechanic Thyat It Was A Blown Apex Seal.... This Is An Expensive Fix ... Instead I Just Got A Stage 2 Street Port Motor Built For Around The Same Price As Getting The Seals Replaced... I'll Be Getting It Back Next Week.... I Don't Know How Much This Will Help... But I Know How It Feels To See All That Smoke Comin Out Your Baby.....
Helpfull?

This is a simple problem. Anyone with any experience knows it's just a coolant line. Most likely the 90 degree line under the throttle body (if your left means sitting in the car).
