Blew my engine... now what?
Unbelievable timing, as I had just lined up a buyer who was coming to pick it up tomorrow But I'd rather it blow with me than the first time out the door for the new owner. I'd feel pretty shitty if that happened (like I don't already )
Anyway, 92-95-92 psi on the rear rotor, 0-0-0 on the front I had just done a compression test in the spring, with even 95 readings on the front and rear. Damn
I don't plan on rebuilding just to sell it, so now I need a new plan:
A) Sell as-is? Are blowns still going for ~$8K?
B) Strip/sell the mods and sell the chassis as a roller?
Link to original for-sale thread in my sig.

I'd say sell it as-is. Yah, you'll take a hit on the price, but your other option is to sink a bunch more time and money into a car you aren't interested in any longer.

No sense in the headache and hassle of parting this beast out....trust me, you'll sit on a large pile of parts that take up a chunk of real estate for a LONG time.
Sell it 'as is' and remember that Lanacain does wonders for hurting ********.....

I just checked out your for sale thread. The rest of that car is so clean and nicely done, I don't think it would matter to the right buyer. That car is in great shape cosmetically inside and out from the pics, and THAT is way harder to find/fix than an engine rebuild.
In other words, I'd rather buy a 9/10 cosmetic car with a blown engine than an ugly car with ruined paint, tons of dings, shredded seats etc but with a good engine.
Knock several thousand off the price and I think you can still sell it no problem to the right buyer (probably a member here).
