Big problem...seeing boost spikes of 15-20psi
Was out for a little bit of a spirited drive today, and all of a sudden I started hearing really loud backfires and looked down at my boost gauge and saw I was boosting from 15-20 PSI. 15 when the first turbo hit, 20 if the second kicked in. A little background on my car: The Turbos were rebuilt by PETTIT, and I have a midpipe/downpipe and intake, no other mods. Ever since I had installed the MP/DP I'd seen boost creep if I got above 5-6k RPM in 3rd and 4th gear, nothing major thought, 13 PSI max and after I saw that I haven't been driving the car hard at all.
Suffice it to say, it was a huge suprise to see myself hitting boost spikes that high. I called my shop, and will probably be bringing the car in this week - but does anyone have an idea of what it could be? Anyone experienced similar problems before?

Its your free-flowing exhaust/intake combo. Put a stock catback in or you wont be seeing ANY spikes soon. 13psi on stock ECU is a bad idea.
Usually, you have to port the wastagate if you dont have any cats. But still... even with that on stock ECU you shouldnt go past 10psi.

Common problem when you don't do your homework before installing full exhaust. Start reading about how to control boost ...may wanna make sure you didn't break a seal, too.
