DIY-RE is pretty good, if not a little...awkward (lots of awkward silence lol).
http://www.diy-re.co.nz/

It's based around an industry professional talking someone through rebuilding an engine, whom has never touched a rotary before.

I have the Turrentine rebuild stuff and it's very good.

I suspect all of them are pretty good. I also suspect very few people would own and watch more than one to be able to provide a direct comparison.

Bruce Turrentine's DVD, hands down. He also has a DVD showing how to remove and reinstall the motor that's excellent.

The Aussie 13B-RE videos or whatever aren't great at all. They build the motor with all brand-new parts which is something in the real world you almost never do. They also spend DAYS showing side seal clearancing.

Pineapple Racing's site has some great videos too, streaming on their site. That's how I finally learned how to set end play.

+1 for Bruce Turrentine. He's local to me and has built some great engines. I actually had his rebuild video on actual VHS. You can watch the video section-by-section as you progress through your build, and then have the FSM on the side to also guide you.

check out www.rebuildingrotaryengines.com as well. it has a bunch of free online videos from pineapple racing about things like inspecting rotor housings

I've seen some sample videos of Mazdatrix Rebuild DVD on Youtube, nobody wants to share their opinion on that one?

Well, I think the DVD from Rotary Aviation won...

I have the one from Mazdatrix through drifting.com

I haven't seen any others except for that home rebuild floating around on the torrents somewhere which wasn't bad either.

The mazdatrix one spends a lot of time on cleaning and inspection which is a plus.

As I can see Rotary Aviation is definitely the way to go, but I saw too that Mazdatrix made a DVD for porting, which is useful.

I have:

Mazdatrix DIY DVD
Bruce Turrentine DIY DVD
DIY-RE DVD ( new sealand )
13b engine class ( self made video ).

I recommend the first three DVD´s, because every DVD would give you some extra information, which you wouldnt get if you dont have this DVD.

So, for step to step rebuilding, i use the mazdatrix dvd.

Yes, the Mazdatrix one is good for step by step plus the guy keeps talking so you don't fall asleep watching it.

I still consider the Mazdatrix, and expect any rebuild dvd, to be more of a supplement to the FSM.

I have mazdatrix rebuild dvd, I've watched it a couple times and it's the only one I've seen but I've seen some clips from the atkins one. From what I've seen mazdatrix is my favorite, kyle mohan does the video and he vocalizes his step by steps, doesn't talk to fast or anything and he knows what he's saying. Some useful tidbits in there too. They all do the same thing though. As mentioned earlier, use them in conjunction with the FSM, kind of like a visual aid.
