@FD3S2005 Do you mind take picture of underside of the hood also?
Thank you.
I haven't one i took while I unpacked it.. i was stuck outside and wanted to open it to take a look. so picture may not be the best... the rain guards are installed. Gotta take them out
The FEED hood never made any sense to me. Why would you put the vents in a high-pressure area? It's not going to suck the heat out of the engine bay all that well.
My car has a Stout Type R, which looks like this:
No, the little air intake and the exhaust near the windshield probably don't do that much.
I'm a sucker for the six-vent RE-A hoods.

@FD3S2005 who did you order through and how long did you have to wait? Can you follow up with feedback on the fitment once you have it installed? I've been considering getting an authentic FRP one via RHDJapan or one of the replicas from Seibon/Group A/AngryPanda
@FD3S2005 Thank you for the picture. Whenever you have time to take more picture and also let us know the fitment.
I have been on the fence about ordering from GRAmotoring.

.
Got it from gramotoring i originally got the half carbon (top) and fpr for (bottom/skeleton) with fpr rain guards. But when it came time to shipping they noticed spider cracks on the hood and told me. They have a couple coming from Japan and will take awhile but this ones full carbon and they will upgrade me no charge even got carbon rain guards which i didnt notice till today. So I said yes.. I waited about 7 months. But they may have a couple still in stock and you wouldn't have to wait.. they also test fit it before shipping..

My idea is to do something like this but yellow since that's the color of my car. Paint the hood and keep the vents untouched and carbonfiber showing since I'm not a fan of how the car looks with a different colored hood. I feel it ruined it for a yellow color.
I talked to the painter and told him after Christmas I'll be bringing him the car. Hes doing the engine bay(while the motors out and my trunk aswell he used to own and painted his 3rd gen and he also just ordered a rhd one from japan with about 30km on the odo with a rocket bunny body kit.. I don't think I'll be test fitting it on my car till then.

well doesn't the air coming from the bumper intercooler regardless if stock mount/vmount/front push in hot air and go towards he back? Pushing the hot air from the turbo and engine bay out the vents? Also since it's in the tallest part of the engine bay hot air rises so it would make it's way there?.. I am not 100% on that but was just taking a guess..
the feed hood was my original choice till I saw how it looked on a yellow fd and i really liked how it looked.

I'm not an expert on aerodynamics, but I would guess the FEED hood was designed to be a compromise between getting heat out of the engine bay and not changing of the look of the car as much as a proper vented hood.
The FD is a car that basically requires a vented hood for serious track/racing applications. Hence why there are so many vented hoods on the market.
I would guess that even with a vented hood, the vast majority of the heat is actually getting sucked out of the bottom of the engine. But vents help keep IATs down.

does hot air still come out the bottom from those who still have an undertray? I've had an idea to make a type of undertray out of sheet metal that pretty much cover the engine bay tranny tunnel and back end to make it a slipstream type deal, kinda like this picture

Where else would the air go if you have a stock hood? The undertray does have some small vents in it.
Yes, a flat bottom would make your car faster, but you will still need to have vents in it to not overheat everything.
There's someone on the forum who sells a flat bottom kit for the FD.
The other benefit you'll see from a vented hood, besides heat extraction, is less front end lift. Especially with a larger bumper opening, there's definitely air pressure buildup at speed that's alleviated with a vented hood.

Someone did a wool tuft test on the Feed hood, the vent closer to the firewall sucks air in after a certain speed.
Heat still comes out at lower speeds and stopped so it does help with heatsoak some.
