I'm not the biggest fan of the design philosophy for Liberty Walk's silhouette body kit but the hood looks like it could be a real winner on its own.
Spoiler
For a balance of aesthetics and functionality, the feed-style hood from Shine Auto is a popular choice. It integrates well with the car's design while providing effective cooling through its rear vents. It's a sleek option that enhances both appearance and performance without compromising on either aspect. Writing a great admission essay can be daunting, but this step-by-step guide on https://academized.com/blog/how-to-w...-by-step-guide makes it much easier. I followed their advice, and my essay turned out fantastic. The tips on structure, content, and personal storytelling were invaluable. Highly recommend for anyone preparing their college application.
I have the RE-A AD9 Seibon Replica but now (maybe because I'm older??) I feel it's a little too much. There are many others than mentioned below, also stock mods which can be done really well.
My choices:
Best looking - Mazdaspeed or Knightsports. The MS is close to stock, smaller vents, the KS has better ventilation.
Most Ventilation - RE-A AD9 is the best looking, Scoot is similar but I don't like how it looks
The Feed is an odd case, looks nice, a stock plus look, but the vents only work at slow speeds to reduce heat soak. The vent location causes reversion at higher speeds.
Best looking, authentic MAZDASPEED A-spec or R-spec (if you can find one)
Best ventilation, authentic RE-A AD9.
I would stay away from the replica brands......
I think the most overlooked hood is probably the StreetHunter hood designed by Mickey Andrade.
It’s obviously very specific to guys running VMICs. But it can’t be beat for channeling airflow through that center scoop.
The vent over the turbo is also a really nice touch. Although I wonder if I would have preferred an RE-A AD-9 corner vent as a slightly more subtle look.
Either way, I’m always surprised how little this hood gets discussed. 🤙
I haven't seen a street hunter hood in person but in pictures it seems to me that with the size of its center vent and how tight the fitment is to the intercooler itself that it would act as a great exhaust for 1/3 of the intercooler but the other 2/3 still has air exiting under the hood with nowhere to go.

I haven’t either. I’ve barely seen them online.
I also haven’t seen any CFD testing on it. But that duct has gotta be pulling some massive air flow through the bumper/VMIC ducting. Even if it’s not 100% coverage - the fact you can get a tight seal on the VMIC is going to pay dividends.
I thought about buying this hood but like MattGold said, would rather have a more subtle look with the corner vent. It's too "loud" for a stock FD but for a car with a bodykit like TJ's car, it looks great.
I know we are referring to functioning hoods but I do think the aesthetic of the factory hood is my favorite. Although it might not have the same heat extrapolation as many other hoods on the market, sometimes a super vented looks a bit busy to me. Just my opinion though. The StreetHunter hood, A-Spec and Feed Hoods are my favorite aftermarket ones and I would be interested in seeing test results with temps if that info exists
Stock lines are gorgeous, that's why some have modified the stock hood with some vents that are not overly busy.
On the Feed, there was an airflow test done with yarn strings and it showed airflow reversal (going in) with speed. It was expected as the vents are located in a high pressure area. It does help venting heat when you park so there's some usefulness still.
So an update on my hood.. there was a spider crack on the hood so he didn't send it.. he said he is getting new full carbon top and bottom hood and he's willing to send that to me no extra charge.. but I have to wait 40 days till it arrives.. im in no rush as no one can match my paint on my car
Marcus Read was selling one for 10,000 AUD in September 2020. At that time, the exchange rate was 0.73, so it was about 7,300 USD for this hood, PLUS shipping. I almost bought it, but I couldn't justify spending that much on a hood.
I believe Sake Bomb Garage has one M2 hood as well. The only time i got to be graced with the presence of one especially by the rarity of it. Though I would still choose the Mazdaspeed over this one.

RX7 FD specialist is a solid seller! I worked with them a few years ago to get a few rare parts. Buy with confidence.
Like the on on the white car without all the extra vents. Can you buy this one, don't see it for sale anywhere. I only see the top one with all the extra vents on Car Shop Glow and RHD Japan
