Bee-R Rev limiter, does anyone know how to install in a FD?
I was looking to get a Bee-R Rev limiter but I dont understand the japanese instructions. does anyone know how to install one of these? the link below is of the instructions as from what I can tell I need to hook up the 4 wires as
Red wire: 12V+
Black wire: Earth
Yellow wire: RPM Signal
Green wire: Ignition signal
http://www.geocities.jp/beer_imai_sp...evlimitter.pdf
If you go by the diagram, the RPM switch is not tapped in to which should be the 2B connector on the wiring harness. Instead they have 2 dark black dots on the 4E and 4G which is the crank angle sensor NE+signal and the crank angle sensor G. the lighter dot is suppose to be hooked in to the 4B which is ground so thats the black wire and the one on the far connector is 1B which is the ECU positive 12volt hook up so thats the red wire.
Anyone have any idea which is suppose to go to what as far as the Yellow and green wire is concerned?

oh, i just found this picture, http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...ctypr/new1.jpg
so does the green wire tap into the 4E crank angle sensor NE+signal and the yellow wire tap into the 4G crank angle sensor G?
I think the instructions i found with the Yellow wire: RPM Signal and Green wire: Ignition signal was for a toyota???

I don't have one yet, but I do hope to buy one soon. I wanted some confirmation of how to hook it up correctly before I went out and bought one though. I have searched all over the web but couldn't come up with any real solid instructions in english on how to hook it up to a FD even though it was made for one. Most of the information I have found goes something like this...
"does anyone know how to hook one of these up to a FD? I need some help.
your a moron, why would you ever want to put a revlimiter on a rotary engine? and/or it probally won't work.
End of thread"
For some odd reason most people seem to really hate this product. not sure if its cuz nobody knows how to hook it up correctly or if it doesn't work for rotary engines. what is even more wierd (at least for me) is that most of these post I have found have come across have come from this forum which is ususally full of great information. people here ususal are willing to bend over backwards to help you out.

got the following message from Bee racing so I guess I was correct in how to hook it up.
Thank you for the inquiry.
Probably, though regrettable, there is no description in English.
I am sorry.
Red ... +B power supply
Yellow ... G+/G signal
Green ... NE+/NE signal
Black ... Ground ground
The connector position has indicated what completed the check in BeeRacing.
Since there may be others, when you do not operate, please come to hand and check a wiring diagram by a dealer etc.
Thank you for your consideration.
